about us & Bleak House
Bleak House has been operating as a Bed & Breakfast since 1990. Currently it is run by John Kellett and Bronwyn Sams after John purchased the property in December 2007.
John's great grandfather came to Mudgee as a 23 year old in 1859 and started a general store which became the family business W Kellett & Sons. The family continued to run the company until 2004 when it was sold and John retired. Bronwyn grew up in Dubbo and has lived in Mudgee sine 1997. Bronwyn has extensive experience in the tourism and hospitality industry and worked with the local council in Mudgee for 11 years only resigning to run Bleak House with John.
